WHAT TIME IS THE EVENT?

The event starts at 11am on the 29th September 2024. teams must arrive at this time to register. The first matches will kick-off at midday.
WHY ARE YOU HOLDING THE QUALIFIERS FOR FIFCO?

We are the official representative for the Scottish entry into the FIFCO 2024 tournament finals.
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE WIN THE QUALIFIERS?

The deserved qualifying champions will represent Scotland in the FIFCO 2024 World Corporate Champions Cup in Crete in October 2024.
DO I NEED TO REGISTER TO PARTICIATE?

Yes! Only the first 20 registered teams will allowed to participate.
HOW MANY PLAYERS IN A TEAM?

1 Goalkeeper, 7 Outfield Players = 8 Players in total.
WHAT ARE THE EVENT RULES?
Answer.
GENERAL RULES
- Entry fee per team is £1600 and is first-come, first-served due to limited places.
Please Note: The event is for aged 18 and older.
- Teams must be at the pitch at least 2 minutes before kickoff; late arrivals forfeit 3-0.
- Players must sign a waiver at the event.
- Matches will be on a 3G surface. AstroTurf boots are best;
molded studs and blades are allowed, but metal studs are prohibited.
- Maximum squad size is 8 players (5 active, 3 substitutes).
- Referee decisions are final. Swearing at the referee results in automatic ejection
with zero tolerance for disrespect towards officials.
- Matches last ten minutes, with no change of ends unless stated otherwise.
- Teams earn 3 points for a win and 1 for a draw in the round-robin phase.
- The organizer can disqualify any team for rule violations at any time.
GAME RULES
- A yellow card requires the player to leave the field but allows substitution.
- A red card results in that player’s disqualification for the tournament.
- More than 3 red or yellow cards may lead to disqualification.
- Players are encouraged to wear shin guards for safety; the organizer is not liable for injuries.
- Squads may have up to 8 players, and substitutions are allowed freely during the match with the referee's acknowledgment.
- Outfield players can enter the goalkeeper's area but can't touch the ball in the D; penalties apply for violations.
- All free kicks are direct and players can score directly from free kicks, but defenders must stand two yards away.
- If the ball goes out, play restarts with a kick-in.
- Goals cannot be scored from a kick-in.
- Slide tackles are prohibited.
- Back passes to the goalkeeper are allowed only after touching 2 or more outfield players; violations result in a free kick.
- Goalkeepers cannot touch the ball outside the D; penalties apply for violations.
- Play restarts from the goalkeeper after a goal is scored.
- Round robin rankings are based on points, then goal difference, goals scored, goals conceded, and head-to-head results. If tied, a sudden death penalty shootout will determine advancement.
- Sudden death penalties will resolve ties in knockout rounds.
